Yoga for everyBODY
I began my search for a place to start my yoga journey in 2011. After much digging, reading and trying to find the best place to fit my needs, I decided on a studio. I was hooked before my first class finished! While establishing a yoga practice started as a physical thing for me, I quickly felt and saw the internal benefits a consistent yoga practice had on my well-being! I eventually left the corporate world and entered yoga teacher training, one of my biggest life changing events! I have completed a RYT 500-hour training program; I teach Hatha and Vinyasa, I'm also certified in Pain-Free Yoga and mat-based Pilates. In addition you can find me teaching functional fitness classes and coaching indoor rowing. I find immense joy and fulfillment by helping and encouraging others on and off the mat.
These days, on the other side of 2020, life looks very different for me. Outside of the studio, I used to spend most of my time with my nose in sheet music working on several different projects at a time. For over 10 years I was a member of Stonebriar Community Church's Sanctuary Choir and from 2009 - 2020 was the soprano section leader for Gloria Dei Youth Choir. But my involvement with music wasn't limited to choir, I'm an opera singer and periodically involved in musical theater productions as well! For now, music and performing is on the back-burner for me, but I look forward to once again, making music with others!!
I'm an avid runner, both on and off the pavement. I'm hoping to return to racing in 2025 after a longer than intended hiatus. I have completed 10 marathons and 2 ultra-marathons, along with numerous shorter distance races all across the United States.
There's a good chance that if I'm not in the yoga studio I'm somewhere in the metroplex singing or running! :-)
